Starbucks Card Giveaway!

What’s better than a cup of coffee on a cold, dreary day? How about a FREE cup of coffee?

Where I happen to live, in the Midwest, this has been one of the coldest, dreariest springs I can remember. Here it’s April and we’re still dippin’ in the 40′s and 30′s, not to mention clouds and drizzle almost daily for weeks. WHAT HAPPENED TO SPRING?

I don’t know about you, but one thing that helps me to survive dreary weather is COFFEE!

Addiction is never a good thing, but how can I deprive myself of a hot cuppa joe? Well, it’s not always hot…actually, my favorite coffee drinks are of the frozen variety, like a frozen mocha frappuchino (nom, nom). It doesn’t matter if there’s a blizzard and it’s 15 degrees outside, a frozen coffee is perfect for any sort of weather!

 Me before coffee…

Me after coffee!

So to spread a little warmth and love, I’m giving away a $20 Starbucks gift card to one lucky person!

Just leave a comment and I will select one winner at random (Random Number Generator)

It matters not if you live somewhere that is warm and sunny right now (although I privately scorn you, ha ha. Just kidding. Maybe.) Just leave a comment telling us how your spring has been so far. Comments must all be received by Wed, April 17 by 6pm EST.

Good luck, and here’s to warmer weather, hopefully soon!

Spring? What spring? It was supposed to start March 21, but it is running behind schedule here in Ohio. We’ve had a few days of warm weather, but mostly it’s been chilly, or rainy, or even snowy. Yikes! So bring on the Starbucks; at least that might help ease the pain a bit.

Spring is really greening up the pastures here in the Rockies–in between snow storms! You’ve made a very generous offer. Thanks!

Mmm, coffee. Mmmm, spring! These are a few of my favorite things! I love the kittehs.

This spring seems to be the total opposite of last spring, thankfully for the fruit crops etc. But it would have been nice to have met in the middle somewhere. Thanks for the cool contest!

It’s crummy here too. I feel your pain, sista. :)

Despite the cold and dreariness, my writing has kept me relatively warm. Could be because it’s summertime in my story.
Nice idea, Dana! I salute whoever wins with a raise of my coffee cup. Salut!

Even though the spring in MI is cold and wet, I have tried to get started in my garden. For the first time, I bought shredded bark that was frozen in the bag.

It is finally beginning to feel like spring here in Maryland. Most trees are in bloom. Out little Biscuit gets to enjoy more outings since the weather is so much nicer! I am looking forward to some photo shoots this spring!

I hate to break it to you, but California is just Gorgeous – spring is blooming out all over and the sweet scents in the air are Luscious! Wonderful weather for a frozen mocha! Hope spring rolls around your way one day soon!

Spring is always slow to come in Michigan. In past years, I’d stare out the window at the garden, planning out where I’d put all the flowers. This year, I’m concentrating so much on writing I haven’t been thinking about the garden at all. Who would have thought?

It’s nice of you to offer a nice brew of hot coffee from Starbucks, Dana! I live in a quaint coastal town 10 miles south from San Francisco called Pacifica. Why haven’t you heard of it? Because we are covered in heavy marine fog! So far my spring has been in damp, musty, cold weather. I watch my son’s baseball game with a coat, beanie and scarf as if it were still winter.

Don’t worry, I live in Oregon and we have to tan all year in the beds or take vitamin D. Doctors orders. Then when the sun comes out we all squint into the light wondering what this evil phenomenon is and finally all emerge wearing shirts and tanks in the 58 degree weather :-p so I hear ya. We do go to the beach, we go in the water with jeans and winter coats.

I keep hoping for at least “normal” temps here in Michigan, but that’s all I have is hope…Need sun! Need to open windows and let fresh air in! At least the weather hasn’t been an excuse to not write! I’d rather be writing while the weather is “under the weather” than missing out on the glorious sunny days.

Spring has been crazy busy, and totally tiresome. Exhausted all the time. Wishing I could sleep in every day. :(

I like coffee! I’m exhausted! Hate this cold rainy weather. Blah.

Spring is probably my favorite time of the year, because of the new growth after the winter cold and bare trees. It has been a little late this year but I know it is on its way.

    C’mon shake your thing!
    Make us sing!
    Where’s your wing?
    Bod a bing.
    Spring.

Daffodils. Flowering dogwoods. Redbuds. Disc Golf. That’s Missouri! And we’re welcoming all the rain that’s coming down as snow up north.
